The 2016 White House Christmas Ornament honors President Herbert Hoover. The concept of the ornament remembers the responders that put out a fire on Christmas Eve 1929. The firetruck design is taken from two fire toy models from the 1800's.

The firetruck design is taken from two fire toy models from the 1800's. The 14 karat gold firetruck ornament features red enamel on the drivers side, the passenger side, and top. The driver's side also has white trim and lettering in the front stating 'Engine - 1 -.' On the bottom middle just below the steering column states '1929 - 1933', which represents the dates of the Herbert Hoover White House administration. On the back is a ribbon that states 'The White House.'

The President Hoover Ornament measures 3 3/8 inches long, by 1 1/4 inches tall in the front and 1 1/2 inches in the back, by 3/4 inch wide.
Ornament in box weighs approximately 3 ounces.
