This adorable pink little gal was made to commemorate Washington, DC's National Cherry Blossom festival held every year from late-March to early-April. The teddy bear stands (sits) eight inches tall with a bright pink nose and a white bow around a cute white T-Shirt with a Cherry Blossom and I Love DC.
The term "Teddy Bear" originated in 1902 when Morris Mitchom is said to have written President Theodore Roosevelt asking permission to use his name for the stuffed bears Mr. Mitchom was producing at the time. President Roosevelt obliged and the rest is, as they say, history.
